Reason for being a member of the board
As a previous School Teacher of 8 years in the Aranui area I am passionate about seeing the younger generations grow up to live a fulfilling life with education and career being a goal they focus on – to support this in the past my hands on involvement with The Palace a Not for Profit organisation I founded in the area was a way to teach and encourage the children and mums to dream BIG – as I have trained up others to take my place in the front line I embraced Rachel’s request to be a member of the Board – this is a two fold reason one to support ACTIS in all they do front line and two to be a support along with others who are like minded and like hearted to the future of Aranui – that the behind the scenes work counts just as much to the making the visions and dreams for Aranui real!

I have been on the Aranui Community Trust board since March 2017
Reason for being a member of the board
I have had a long association with ACTIS over the 16 years serving as Principal of Avondale primary school.

Regrettably, Avondale was closed at the end of 2016. having had several thousand students pass through its doors over that time with significant proportion coming from Aranui, I have built up strong ties and connections to the community.

With a long standing interest in both the educational aspirations and welfare of our students I feel that by joining the ACTIS board, I can contribute to and continue to have, an association with this wonderful community.
